1st Day – Cuiabá / Chapada dos Guimarães

Arrival at Marechal Rondon airport, 75 kilometers trip to the city of Chapada dos Guimarães, passing alongside beautiful rock formations, check-in at the hotel, free. The Chapada dos Guimarães is considered a mystical paradise and the natural beauties promote ecotourism activities‘.

2nd Day – Chapada dos Guimarães
{National Park Waterfalls Circuit}

After breakfast (9 am) trip to Chapada dos Guimarães National Park. Access by car using the service road for approximately 05 km until you reach the starting point of the hike. A little stretching and then begin to walk in the Savanna. Walking by the old service road, learning paths and rocky fields and characteristic of the Brazilian savanna. Arrival at the beginning of the circuit Falls National Park: Waterfalls ‘7 de Setembro, Cachoeira do Pulo, Cachoeira do Degrau, Cachoeira da Prainha e Cachoeira das Andorinhas’. Possibility of swimming in all them. During the tour visitors will have contact with the geologic mosaic that makes up the ‘plateau’, knowing from primitive rocks of the continent, as Phyllite, even the newer formations, such as training Furnas and Ponta Grossa. The visitor could take baths in pure fresh water in the center of Brazil. Trekking to return and access to the Casa de PedraStone House, a small sandstone cave carved by the stream river September 7, one of the trainers of the waterfalls. Visual exploration of the Casa de Pedra and farewell. Travel by car out of the National Park around 4 pm or 5 pm. *We suggest snack reinforced this day to enjoy the waterfalls with picnic.

3rd Day – Chapada dos Guimarães #special trip
{Stone City + Clear River Valley}

After breakfast trip to the national park and visit to Stone City, a gazebo located at the top of the highest cliffs in the area just above the Vale do Rio Claro. Fantastic views that can be contemplated in its nearly 2 km of the total walk, with curious rock formations carved by rain and wind over time. The vegetation is down, rich in fruits, flowers and medicinal plants. From the top one can see a large expanse of cliffs and the distant horizon, presenting the visitor with a unique view of the Chapada. Just below the Stone City is the Vale do Rio Claro, dominated by a higher cerrado, gallery forests and small streams of clear water. All cerrado nuances, the forest, the river path, will become as small details seen from above. A unique immensity and beauty make this special visit, one of the most expressive views of the Chapada.

Continuation of the tour and trip to the Vale do Rio Claro. Now the ancient walls of Chapada will be in front of the visitor. A special view where is possible to see its length.

A walking in the cerrado, observing the beautiful view of the Chapada, trees, shrubs, small bushes and typical local path fields. Visitation to the Blue Well for a first bath and diving. The adventure still goes to visiting the Green Well. First contact with the rich fish fauna of Rio Claro, with minnows, peraputangas, piaus, armored catfish, among other species (there may be variations in sighting with more or less species). After bathing visit the Faux Hawk, a high rock formation that will enable a panoramic view from the top to the walls and the entire region, giving the visitor an accurate picture of what is the Chapada. It is one of the most beautiful moments of the tour, when all the Chapada is seen from the front. After rest and contemplation another refreshing clear water bath will be waiting for everyone. Bath and diving, picnic and rest. Travel the path of Chapada dos Guimarães with beautiful view of the cliffs at sunset to complete the day. Ride farewell and return to the hotel, free night.

3 km walking

4th day – Chapada dos Guimarães
{St Jeronimo hill – Parque Nacional de Chapada dos Guimarães}

After breakfast (8 a.m.) trip to Parque Nacional de Chapada dos Guimarães. Access by car via the service road for approximately 05 km until you reach the starting point of the hike. A little stretching and then begin to walk in the Cerrado. The proposed circuit begins in the House of Stone, a small sandstone cave carved by the creek on September 7 and one of the rivers that form the Waterfalls Circuit. Walking through the small cave, following a small trail into the woods and then to an old road. The way is full of rock formations that resemble ships, totem poles, alligators, besides the well-preserved vegetation. After about 5 km walking will begin a overlooking to the Morro do Quebra Gamela, overlooking the plain below. Morro de Saint Jerome can already be seen from this point. A small climb and the walk will go in a hallway in the rock. Then the scenery will open to an overlooking point to the cliffs, plains and Morro de Sao Jeronimo, giving an overview of the region and soon the adventure ahead. After crossing a small forest, the group will be at the foot of the hill and start to climb quietly. Arrival at the top of the hill of St. Jerome, one of the highlights of the region that allows a 360 degree view. By far the walls of the City of Rocks. A well deserved rest while enjoying the scenery. The return trail encircles the top of the hill and visitors will have a complete picture of the region. After descending the stairs from the Hill of St. Jerome, return the same way. A little stop at the Stone House to cool off a bit. Output of the national park at the end of the day and return to the hotel. Evening free.

16 km walking

5th Day – Chapada dos Guimarães
{Cave circuit: Aroe Jari, Blue Lake and Kiogo Brado}

After breakfast (9 am) 46 km trip to the farm where is located the Cave Aroe Jari, the biggest sandstone cave in Brazil! The trail goes into the forest and savanna until you reach the entrance of Aroe Jari cave. Visit the 1st hall, inside the cave … A waterfall forms falling from the cave ceiling and the experience will be more interesting when the eyes are accustomed to the darkness, when we can see the cave details. Then the walk will continue out of the cave, the way to Boca do Buritizal, another cave entrance, past the stone Three Points – a balanced Rock at 3 points. Arrival at the Blue Lagoon, a place to rest a few minutes and contemplate one of the natural beauties of the circuit. Numerous geological brands will help tell the story of the place. After more 50 meters arrival at the Kiogo Brado cave, recently opened to visitors. This place is impressive, with huge walls over 20 meters high. During the crossing you can see the marks of time recorded in the rock formation. Walking back to the parking lot (~ 50 minutes) to go to the Alméscar waterfall for a refreshing bath. Possibility of lunch in the farm (lunch suggestion, not included) at the end of the day, around 16h or 17h. Return to Chapada dos Guimarães. Trip back to the hotel and free night.

6th Day – Chapada dos Guimarães / Airport

After breakfast or after, transfer to Cuiabá and farewell.
